Not everything is known about the Redmi K40 as the company is yet to reveal design and specifications of the cost-effective flagship. The phone will include a flat display which is claimed to be “the most expensive flat screen” in a smartphone. However, we still don’t know whether it will an AMOLED or LCD panel. It is likely to be a higher refresh rate screen. The phone is likely to come with UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. It is to ship with an above 4000mAh battery bundled with 33w wired fast charging as suggested by some leaks. There have been leaks suggesting a Redmi K40 Pro in the offering. Recently a leaked image of a Redmi K40 Pro model popped up online suggesting a quad-camera setup at the back and a selfie camera punched inside display cutout. Redmi is likely to continue with a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside supporting a USB Type-C port.
