Netflix unveiled five games initially made by different publishers and requires paid membership from users to play. The games should be downloaded before playing, and available for all the profiles in one account.

Netflix in July this year announced venturing into games, to maximize the revenue and cash on the popularity of its titles. A month later, it trailed with Poland users initially and received a good response. With that hope, Netflix is rolling out games to everyone around the world.

While the Stranger Things series is made by BonusXP, Teeter Up and Shooting Hoops are made by Frosty Pop, and Card Blast by Amuzo & Rogue Games. With different publishers in the arsenal, Netflix may soon increase the gaming portfolio and support other devices too. Accessing these games requires an active membership. If you have one, you can see a dedicated tab of games in your account, available to download and play right away. On an Android tablet, you can see the new gaming section in the drop-down menu. Netflix said the games are tuned to respective local languages, but if you have no language set already, they’ll show up in English by default. Netflix clearly mentioned that the games are not available for kids to play. So if you’re a parent and have locked the account with a PIN, revealing this to your kid is the only way he/she can access games. At last, Netflix said the games are available to all profiles in an account. So you and your friends/family can play them simultaneously if having an eligible account logged in to several devices.
