As per Adam Mosseri, Instagram users can now use the music of any video to make a remix for their new video. However, to date, it’s only limited to Reels. Also, content creators can let people know of an upcoming life through a separate feed post, a story post, and a badge on their profile.
Scheduling Live and Remixing Video
Giving a tough competition to its rivals, Instagram is testing and rolling out new features almost every week this year. We’ve seen the platform testing vertically swipe-able stories earlier and the introduction of subscriptions for its content creators. This is to help them earn more revenue by selling special access to their followers. And now, Instagram’s head Adam Mosseri has shown up with two new features. One is the improvements in how creators schedule a Live, and the other is the ability to remix any video on Instagram.
Some fun ones this week: – Live in Profiles – Remix Video Let me know what other features you’d like to see 👇🏼 pic.twitter.com/Y0QIR7PgPF — Adam Mosseri (@mosseri) January 26, 2022 Instagram will now let creators make separate announcements for a new post or a story regarding an upcoming Live by talking more about them. Also, a new badge will be appearing on the creators’ profile page, which briefs about an upcoming Live. While informing their followers about the scheduled live, tapping on the badge will show a Reminder button for followers, which can notify them when they live airs. And next, there’s the ability to remix any video on Instagram! So far, creators are only limited to using fresh music, or sometimes used by someone in their Reels. But now, one can use the music of a regular video post too! This can be availed by tapping on the settings and clicking on the Save button.
