Google Phone New Feature
To show that Google is concerned about all types of people, the company is making some features exclusively for impaired users to help them access their gadgets on par with others. And the new feature in the Phone app is one such achievement. Named as the Caller ID Announcement, Google trailed this feature in the Phone app since last year, before rolling it out to everyone now.
Anyone with the latest version of the Google Phone app can check this feature. If you’re on the latest version already, here’s how to enable it. That’s it. Any incoming calls from then will have the caller’s name being spoken out. This could be helpful, at the same time disturbing since it announces the caller’s name in between the ringtone, so making it hard to detect who’s calling exactly. And if you set a wordly ringtone, it’s surely difficult to detect who’s calling.
