OneUI 5.0 beta update based on Android 13 surfaces online

According to the reports, the OneUI 5.0 beta looks bigger and completely different from OneUI 4.0 as it looks bigger and has a higher background opacity. There’s Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality onboard that recognizes text from images and allows users to copy-paste it wherever needed. Talking about the OneUI 5.0 beta, it shows a modified pop-up menu for the app permissions. It now takes the whole screen and mends itself closer to stock Android 13. Previously, it used to be displayed at the bottom of the screen, however, OneUI 5.0 Beta gets the prompt on the center of the screen and covers it entirely.

Apart from that, Samsung has upgraded the design elements in the Security and Privacy Hub. It resembles much of Android 13 as spotted on Pixel devices. It brings access to passwords, accounts, privacy features, security, and more in a centralized location for users to tweak. The notification design has received its redesign as well. The notifications section has received the updated design as it takes less space than the notification section on OneUI 4.0. Then there are minimal changes to the quick settings and the notification shade. The OneUI 5.0 beta running on Samsung Galaxy S22 shows the inclusion of two new multitasking gestures. The first is for toggling into a split-screen so all you have to do is to swipe up using two fingers from the bottom and a split-screen view will be available. Another is for the pop-up view that you can achieve simply by swiping from the right or left top corner towards the middle of the screen. Samsung will release the OneUI 5.0 beta to more users shortly and as per the reports, it will have a higher degree of improvements than the previous gen.
